Evalyne Njeri

Evalyne is a special education graduate from Kenyatta University. Anapendeza was birthed 4 years ago when she started working with adults with developmentaldisabilities. She is passionate about training adults with developmental disabilities on social, life and vocational skills. In addition to that, she develops individual curriculum on vocational skills, depending on the skills and strength.  Herkey focus is to educate corporates on supported and customization of employment in the bid to promote inclusive disability employment in Kenya and throughout Africa. She is an alumni of the U.S State Department Professional Fellowship on Inclusive Employment Disability and she is still ongoing her training as a registered behavioral technician.

Peris Muringi
Project Manager

Peris is an educator committed to finding processes that help nurture connections between people, their communities and their surrounding environments. She endeavours to uncover new perspectives, draw attention to important narratives and help contribute to positive change. As a Team Leader in VSO Kenya, she was tasked with the key role of managing a group of volunteers from the UK and Kenya – ICS program in Nandi, Kenya. The program focuses on identifying skill gaps and develop capacity for existing youth and PWD groups enrolled in the Empowered Youth for Entrepreneurship and Employability Project. The position involved advocacy for inclusive education, youth entrepreneurship and employability in Nandi County. She worked with multiple partners across different sectors in order to establish good working relationships to influence decisions about education and the youth. She was also active in providing training for the partners she worked with. She ensured there is appropriate support for the volunteers working on the ground. As a volunteer in Machakos with VSO Kenya, she was responsible for supporting the livelihoods interventions for over 100 people with disabilities and caregivers, including provision of vocational skills, facilitating the setting up of income generating activities for people with disabilities and disability mainstreaming with other livelihoods implementing partners

Faith Wangui
Field Officer

Faith is well experienced with working with children and young adults. She has been teaching for 20 years and she desires to positively impact her community. She works in Murang’a country and she has been on creating awareness on developmental disability. She has been on the lead to identify adults with developmental disabilities and vocationally train them and equip them with life and social skills.

Confrey Alianji
Strategy and Logistics

Confrey works as the Innovation strategist at WWF where he is responsible for starting up WWF Kenya Innovation programme “PandaLabs". He is a trained psychologist from Kenyatta University and a fellow of the Amani Institute where he studied social innovation management. He co-founded Ibua Impact Fund a social finance vehicle supporting entrepreneurship and job creation among the youth. Previously he has worked as a Design Thinking consultant for Bluesky Innovations and participated in the Unleash Innovation Lab in Denmark to work on ground-breaking solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals where his team’s concept, Afterain, won the second place in Health.  He is humbled and excited by the opportunity to be actively involved with a team dedicated to bring employment for all. Use his skills in business strategy and human centred design to help people who want to work, find a job that allows them to care for themselves and live a fulfilling life in their community. 

John Mbugua
Monitoring and Evaluation

Mbugua John is a polished Economist, policy analyst, financial investigator and monitoring and evaluation specialist with several years of experience. He is a graduate in Economics from Kenyatta University. He received a Master of Economics (Policy and Management) from Kenyatta University and a Master of Arts in Monitoring and evaluation from African Nazarene University. 

He has vast experience in Financial and tax investigation, research development, monitoring and evaluation of large-scale government projects. 

Currently he is working with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) as a tax investigator. He has previously worked at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) as data and risk analyst. He is proficient in several Monitoring and evaluation tools in addition to his prowess in statistical analysis skills and use of STATA, SPSS, E-VIEWS, JASPERSOFT, R+, SAS and B1. John brings the much-needed monitoring and evaluation expert in Anapendeza.

Michael M. Githinji
Legal and Finance

Michael M. Githinji is a Corporate Management, Finance and Legal professional with over 8 years’ experience in the FMCG industry with a multi-national company covering Sub-Sahara Africa countries in the areas of strategy, planning governance, performance management and finance. He also has been a lecturer at Strathmore University, School of Accountancy where he instructed students pursuing Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) courses in Corporate & Business Law and Advanced Taxation.

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Securities & Investments Analyst (CSIA) and Certified Company Secretary (CPS). He also holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi in Kenya and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
